Skill in articulating focused and developed single ideas and pieces of information in writing is essential to determining main ideas and collective meanings when reading and to expressing more complex ideas and information in academic writing and other information-sharing products. Learn how to develop this writing skill in this workshop.
Workshop participants develop understanding of the structure, parts, and purposes of single-topic paragraphs and experience engaging and manageable methods for helping others learn how to skillfully articulate single ideas in academic writing, and they develop models for instructional use and practice evaluating and responding to student-generated single-topic paragraphs.
