Academic success depends on the ability to interpret inherent meanings of subject-specific texts. How can students who struggle to fully understand the texts they read be equipped with skills to significantly improve comprehension and recall? Illuminate a path to Reading for Understanding and teach students how to navigate that path.
An Academic Reading Process is a series of developmentally sequenced, specific, and measurable skill-based tasks that facilitate the formation of understanding while reading and lead to the creation of concise and condensed notes for recall and academic uses.
