Workshop

Academic Reading Process: Analyzing and Evaluating Informational Texts

Using texts and text-deconstruction notes resulting from An Academic Reading Process: Reading for Understanding (a prerequisite for this workshop) participants learn to teach others how to evaluate texts to determine the validity of information presented, identify the evidence and craft used to deliver information and affect targeted audiences, and evaluate the credibility of information, evidence, author, and publication.

Participants walk away with practical knowledge, course-specific models, and instructional tools to lead others in learning how to analyze and evaluate informational texts.
